Nuestro saves the day, or night, rather. Almost went to a different place, so glad we came here instead. Was looking specifically for pazole. We ordered a bowl along with steak & chicken fajitas to share. Pepe, our awesome waiter offered to split the pazole into 2 bowls for us which I thought was really nice. It was chicken, not pork, which I was fine with, flavorful red broth with all the toppings, muy deliciosa ❤️ Fajitas were also so so good! Chill atmosphere, highly recommend, will eat here anytime I'm in Bakersfield.

Great tasting food, good vegetarian options.. service could have been a little better for us as the kitchen was swamped and they forgot our order for 40 minutes! but they made up for it by apologizing profusely and giving free food!

We really enjoyed this restaurant! It's so pretty towards the back of the restaurant the food was delicious!! My kids ordered beef street tacos and they were AMAZING! The staff was very friendly always making sure everyone was okay. My family and I will probably make this our half way point to L.A. 😊

Walked in. Gentleman came to the front asked how many. Walked me to my table and said the server will be right with you. Place has 11 tables of 2 to 4 people per spot. 75% filled here tonight. Server came right over. Bright chips/salsa... Didn't rush me. Placed my ice tea order and browsed the menu. Told him I'm not from here and and for his suggestions on a smaller appetizer. I order it and BOOM! Great flavors. Waiting on my dinner now. Can't wait... More to come.

Excellent food. Nice atmosphere.

Small but comfortable. The chairs are metal and may be a problem for some but I have back pain sometimes and was ok.Street parking only. I had Camarones a la Diabla and it was very good and they don't skimp on the portions.

This is good food Mexican food in a different level! Staff are welcoming and professional! Quick service. Its worth the pay! It's a casual little restaurant but yet great food and food presentation and flavors are all there! I recommend! Cant wait to try again the next time we come to Bakersfield! My husband ordered street tacos platter and fish tacos. I ordered shrimp a la diabla!😋

I was absolutely amazed by the food. The Fish with chipotle sauce is incredible! The service was friendly and professional. The restaurant itself is cute and clean. The next time I visit Bakersfield this will be a must.

This place is amazingly authentic in regards to the food and atmosphere. I love coming here because I'm never disappointed. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The food is bursting with flavour and colour. I had the steak and chicken fajitas and the grilled veggies that came with it were wonderful. You won't regret coming here.

Best Mexican food ever! Wonderful staff that makes us feel like family. The Flan is to die for, m not a fan of Flan but his Flan I will definitely border again and again.

I always test a Mexican restaurant by ordering the chili rellenos, and I was not disappointed this time. They're delicious!!! The staff was also extremely friendly. I definitely had a happy experience.

Great little Mexican restaurant. Excellent service and the food was fantastic! Off the beaten path but worth the find. Lunch specials are $8.95 and very economical for what you get. Not the traditional rice and beans, much better!

I was looking for good restaurants close by when I was in the city of different business.Then I got my eye on Nuestro an took time to drive to the place and enjoy the food. Another welcome warmly started taking our order right away while introducing their menu. I did order Chile Colorado, Mariscos with Chile Verde and from kids menu.We really enjoyed what we ordered. Anothy and ceasar treat us and other very pleasantly and quickly. Overall we were happy our time there and looking forward to be there again.

mexican food at this place - super good. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. The staff was very welcoming and observant. Kinda of like a restaurant in Los Angeles I loved to visit.

Great find for outstanding Mexican food north of where we were staying for the night (Super 8 by Wyndham on Weibl Rd). Small place but full of locals (always a good sign) and we were promptly seated near the kitchen. Great chips & salsa and the meals were great as well. I had the Chile Colorado & she had the Chile Relleno along with refried beans, Mexican rice and a corn salsa. The service was great and very friendly. Place gets packed early (we arrived a bit before 5 on a Saturday), so heads up! A great place with great food!

Wow! I do love a buffet...and country cooking at that! I made a special trip here after seeing a story on the news that was filmed here. Definitely worth checking out. But wear comfy clothes...you’ll need a nap after all the good food!

Definitely a must try! While driving up to Sequoia National Park we stopped here because of the high reviews and I'm so glad we did! You won't be disappointed and the service was awesome too. We felt like we were family there, very genuine and good people

Found an article that said this was some of the best Mexican food in the state and boy was that right. This place has beyond amazing food, full of flavor, authentic flavor, and the service is some of the best service I have ever seen. If you haven't been, go, go now. Absolutely love this place. Everything I have ever ordered from here has been absolutely amazing.

Wow, delicious food and festive & fun atmosphere!! Our server was so friendly and helpful, he pointed me to the best dish ever. You've got to try the Mariscos Poblanos dinner - the seafood tasted so fresh and was perfectly cooked in a delightful green chili and sour cream sauce. The Trio Enchiladas are also a wonderful choice. Chips were freshly cooked, and even the side dish of fresh cooked corn with lime was great! I highly recommend this locally owned spot.

Great food, great service, high price point. About 10% more than other similar Mexican restaurants. Don't know why. I will go back and will enjoy experience...like the vegan tacos...but surprised at prices.

We love this little quaint Mexican restaurant. Yummy food and great drinks! Very friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The drink menu is BUENO! They even will make custom drinks. The food is Mexican authentic and served nice and hot. Portions are big so come hungry. The music playing reminds me of being back in Mexico way way back in the day. Be sure to check this place out!

Food is ok. The salsa was decent. If you're looking for Mexican food for an Anglo pallet- this is it. The disappointment continues with the Mexican food out here in California. Chicago has by far better Mexican food. I know. I'm from there. I would give it less stars but I didn't pay!!

Pozole was really good and the panbasos are great appetizers. Recommend this place.

Delicious, so delicious. First of all the point of going out to eat is the service that comes with it. This place hit it on the spot service is flawless. What takes the cake is the food! It is authentic fresh and detailed. When I come here I feel as if my Mexican mother cooked for me. The Chile relleno is the best in town totally worth the price don’t be scared. All around great food and service is hard to find this Gem is a great addition to your regular food stops!

This place is bigger than it looks. We had a birthday dinner here and service was great. The food was also very good. No one in our group was disappointed. Best aguachiles and ceviche, that I've had in a while. Will definitely be back to try more things from their menu.

Whenever I'm in Bakersfield I have to have their Shrimp Pasta.
